Deer Hunting
Located in Carroll County Missouri is some of the best deer hunting in the Midwest. We are approximately 90 miles east of Kansas City International Airport. Here at 5J we hope to provide an enjoyable hunting experience with as little hassle to the hunter as possible. All of our properties are managed for a healthier deer herd and larger bucks. The hunting pressure is limited on all farms and the deer are numerous. The land consists of brushy draws, broken chunks of timber, food plots, CRP, and row crops. The food plots are in two to four acre patches and contain a mixture of whitetail institute clovers and un-harvested row crops. Bordering the food plots are large comfortable box stands that allows the hunter to be elevated while at the same time providing a large viewing area. We institute a management program that attempts to provide the hunter a hunt where a large number of deer are seen. Carroll County has a 4 point antler restriction. All bucks harvested must have at least 4 points on one side. By letting the smaller bucks grow to their potential, the possibilities for harvesting a trophy increase every year. 5 J deer hunts are semi guided. Tags are available over the counter and all hunters must be Hunter Education Certified. Here at 5 J Hunts all of our deer and turkey hunts are 100% fair chase hunts with no high fences and no bait used. |
